   What is a Pondless Waterfall ?
  • A pondless waterfall is simply a waterfall and stream, without the pond. 
  • The water level never pools above the level of rock fill, it gives the look of a disappearing waterfall (Diagram Above).

  Where is the Water Going ?
  • A deep hole is dug where the water will be flowing into.
  • The hole is then lined with a EPDM liner, and filled with rock. 
  • The water can now be circulated continuously from beneath the rocks by a pump that sits on bottom.

  What is the Cost ?
  • The price of a Pondless waterfall will be less than a pond because there is less labor involved, as well as less rock and materials.
  • Operating costs for a pondless waterfall as compared to a pond are also less because your not dealing with an ecosystem. It is not necessary to run the pump all day, every day.

   What Matinence Needs to be Done ?
  • Virtually none!
  • For different features like ponds you must add many chemicals and fully clean out the system at the beginning and end of each year; since the pondless waterfall has no sitting water, there is no need to worry about those maintenance factors.
  • One responsibility with the pondless waterfall is adding water. Every couple weeks, if there is not much rain, the basin will need some water added. Simply place a garden hose turned on into the waterfall for about 5 minutes, it's as simple as watering the flowers!
  • In the winter the pump is taken out, you will have easy access to the pump from the snorkel vault encasement.

  Why is this feature Safe ?
  • Since there is no standing water, the pondless waterfall is perfect for settings where liabilities of having a pond are a concern, like when children could be present.

  What if I do not have much space or a flat yard ?
  • The pondless waterfall is very versitile, it can be as big or as small as you want it to be.
  • If your property is flat, we can always create elevation by bringing in soil and manipulating it so it looks as natural as possible (see photo gallery).
